ABOUT US

Kumudini Hospital and Bharateswari Homes were established more or less at the same time. The school was started in 1944.The proximity between the Kumudini Hospital and Bharateswari Homes suggests that R.P. Shaha had a dream to develop such institutions for a long time. By the time he was 48 years old he had already reached the pinnacle of business success and had decided to turn his dream into reality without any loss of time. With the support of his wealth and a strong mind he made this onerous pledge of bringing development in a part of poverty stricken rural Bangladesh at a time when the Second World War was on.Bharateswari Homes is a residential school for girls. Students start at class five and can stay up to class twelve..
