Each year an average of 50 students are trained by 7 trainers in the Kumudini Trade Training School. This school also provides different kinds of technical services.

Many people in Narayanganj who need technical work done come to the Trade Training School for help, provided, of course, that such work can be done locally.. The Trade Training School provides its students with all necessary tools and equipment as well as an allowance as pocket money for clothing, shoes etc. As a self reliant institution Kumudini relies on the Trade Training School for the repair and maintenance work of all of its enterprises.

Kumudini Trade School has helped to establish a paper mill in Narayanganj. Machineries for this mill have been manufactured completely with local efforts and with this locally developed technology, paper boards are being manufactured from water hyacinth. The cost of production of this board is relatively low and Kumudini has plans to go for large-scale production and use of this board from the current stage of pilot production and use.

This school is totally funded and run by Kumudini Welfare Trust. Students passing from this school are highly regarded in the society. After their training they are employed in various jobs in different organizations at home and abroad. There are lots of students who are now working in the Middle East and the East Asia etc.

The Trust intends to upgrade the educational standard, practical facilities and to increase the number of training fields and believes that this is most important way to create job opportunities for the poor unskilled young boys of the society.

Millennium Goal

Head of the states of all the United Nations has agreed upon to achieve the millennium objects by setting up certain goals. Among them Health, Education and environment are the major ones, which was surprisingly visualized by great R.P. Shaha 70 years ago.

With the establishment of one of the best hospital and a residential girls school he has set an example which are followed by us. In the line of his dream we are going to establish one Nursing College which will be the first private Nursing College in on country. To generate the employment for the underprivileged/poor youths, we are going to renovate on Trade School with more sophisticated skilled Trade Works. We are also in agreement both local and International organizations to work in the field of health care for mass people in more remote areas of the country.

To generate the skilled women work force, we with the international Organization started a program by paying them stipends and initial absorption in our Garment factories, Pharmaceutical factory.

The Kumudini handicrafts have already directly or indirectly helping the women folk of our country to have more say in the economic participation in family during the coming years, the number shall increase to double fold.

With the dedication of our present manpower we are trying to fulfill the dream of one great man Rai Bhadhur Ranada Prasad Shaha.
